The Power of God for Salvation
Romans 1:16-17 NKJV
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Remember four things about this scripture;
1) Never be ashamed of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ or the Gospel of Peace as Paul calls it.
2) The Gospel is the power of God to save a life from sin and judgment.
3) In the Gospel is revealed the righteousness of God. That righteousness was revealed to us when we received the Gospel. — we found we are accepted by God and He inputs His righteousness in us, now we have right standing with Him.
4) This righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, let me explain.
When we first believed Jesus was the Son of God, that is faith to believe. When we accepted Him as Lord and Savior, that is faith that we have received Salvation or forgiveness. When we go through sanctification, that is a faith to grow with Jesus. When we are filled with the Spirit, that is a faith to be used by God daily.
One day we will have the faith to walk with Him either in death or translation when He comes. That faith walk will lead us on the streets of Gold to be with Him forever.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the Gospel of Peace, thank You for Salvation, thank You for the righteousness that was revealed to me through the Gospel.
