To Give You the Victory

Deuteronomy 20:1-4 ESV
“When you go out to war… And when you draw near to the battle, the priest shall come forward and speak to the people  and shall say to them, ‘Hear, O Israel, today you are drawing near for battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread of them,  for the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.”

Don’t be confused, every day is a battle, life is a battle and the world is a battlefield. But when we wake up and we face the world, we do not have to fear or dread the day. EVERY DAY is covered by the Lord. He says to us this morning, “let not your heart faint. Do not fear or panic or be in dread…”

We may have to face the battle, but not alone. The Lord God says He is the one “who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.” He fights, He wins and then runs back to your door and hands you the victory all wrapped up in a neat little package. With that victory comes hope, peace that passes all understanding, and assurance for a great day!

Prayer:
Father, the battle outside my door is real, but I trust You to fight for me and with me. Then You bring me victory, hope, peace and assurance for the day!
