Pursuing Liberty
Galatians 5:13 AMP
“For you, my brothers, we’re called to freedom; only do not let your freedom become an opportunity for the sinful nature (worldliness, selfishness), but through love serve and seek the best for one another.”
Liberty is defind as: “The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.” Yesterday I heard a gentleman say “while pursuing liberty, don’t trample on (or stifle) someone else’s liberty.”
Our ancestors came to America to seek freedom from tyranny and freedom to worship how we please. The government has forgotten where we came from and what our ancestors wanted for themselves, and for us in the future. They have forgotten how our ancestors fought for freedom even on new land.
As we take back our rights to live in a free nation, which was designed to be “One Nation Under God”. We cannot enfringe on others to stop their freedom, but in turn, they cannot stop ours.
We as Christians have a duty and honor to serve God in freedom the way we choose. We will serve God, serve one another, correct those under our care, and remind them we are called after God’s Son as Christians, He set us free. If we should learn anything from our histories past, we seek freedom to live and worship how we please.
Prayer:
Father, You brought our ancestors to this great land, with a hope and a dream, with a quest to serve You without restraint on our civil liberty. We reserve that right to be heard in the name of Jesus that made it all possible. We reserve the right to be free to worship as we please.
