Ignorance is No Longer an Excuse
Acts 17:30-31 AMP
“Therefore God overlooked and disregarded the former ages of ignorance; but now He commands all people everywhere to repent [that is, to change their old way of thinking, to regret their past sins, and to seek God’s purpose for their lives], because He has set a day when He will judge the inhabited world in righteousness by a Man whom He has appointed and destined for that task, and He has provided credible proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”
Verse 30 in the Message Bible says it this way;
“God overlooks it as long as you don’t know any better—but that time is past. The unknown is now known, and he’s calling for a radical life-change.” Once we hear God’s redemption plan, we are responsible to respond to Him one way or the other.
I’ve heard people say a God of love and forgiveness could not be a judgmental God. Well, He is not a judgemental God, He is a just God that is fair but He has also set up the truth in His word and through His Son. If we confess our sins, acknowledge His plan for Salvation and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior we come out of darkness into the light.
Ignorance will not be an excuse at the end times. Yes, every knee will bow before Jesus, one way or the other.
Prayer:
Lord, Your plan for mankind is perfect but most of the world has rejected You and Your plan to redeem us back to You. Forgive our world for such ignorance and draw us back to You before it is too late.
