Jeremiah 29: 11 ESV
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

This message came to Israel while they were in captivity. They would be in captivity for almost 70 more years. Yes, He promised prosperity and a hope and that did come eventually but they also had to learn to trust Him in the midst of the storm in their lives. Trust God, He will fulfill His promises!
