God Knows What Is Needed
Genesis 1:6-8 NASB
“Then God said, ‘Let there be an expanse (firmament i.e., atmosphere) in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” God made (fashioned) the expanse (atmosphere), and separated the waters that were below the expanse (atmosphere) from the waters that were above the expanse (atmosphere); and it was so. God called the expanse “heaven.” And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.”
Our God created everything, everything right down to the atmosphere itself. The idea is that on day two, God divided the waters of Earth, spreading them out from one another and moving some above the Earth, and creating that which holds those waters apart—much like what a solid would do.
When the waters that had to be separated from the waters occurred, creation scientists assume that there was a fog or heavy due that formed over the earth. If you follow science at all, you know that water is continuously cycling on Earth between bodies of waters such as oceans, lakes and rivers, land surfaces, and in the atmosphere.
When water warms and evaporates from the Earth’s surface it becomes gaseous in the form of water vapor. As water vapor rises into the atmosphere, it cools and can condense into clouds which can produce rain or snow bringing water back to the Earth’s surface, and the cycle begins again.
Water vapor is also an important component in Earth’s evolving climate system. God knew exactly the cause and effect of this separation that he fashioned to keep the earth plentiful with rain, dew or fog. That’s the God you can trust to know exactly what you need, how you need it? and when you need it.
Prayer:
God You are amazing. It has taken scientists thousands of years to study what You did in one day. You are the one I can trust with all my needs!
