Happy New Year!

Isaiah 40:28-29, 31

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

This year, see God for who He is. According to Isaiah He is Everlasting, He is the Creator of all things, He never gets tired or tired of us, His wisdom and knowledge is beyond comprehension, He gives us power when we feel like we can’t go on, and He gives us strength when we are weak. So much strength that we will mount up as wings on eagles (God will provide the strength for the time of need and courage to overcome obstacles) IF we will wait on the Lord. Be poised and ready to move when He says move. When things look difficult look to Him, wait on Him.

Let me add a promise from our Lord to this. He says in Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.”

This New Year, wait on the Lord, devote time to the Lord, read God’s Words daily. Ask, seek, knock, then wait on Him because then He will give us the strength to overcome and the ability to wait patiently for Him to move in our lives.

Prayer:

Lord, this morning, we ask for Your mercy, grace, health, and healing, restoration, and prosperity in this new year. I know You are able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we ask or think. As we cross over into this new year, let this be a year of renewal, a year of reaching higher heights, a year where we see abundant hope, faith, and assurances like we have never seen before. We ask that You would prosperous us in Your way, in the paths that You have laid out for each of us. We dedicate this year to You Lord, Amen!
